The Commonwealth of Virginia is facing its worst budget crisis ever, and our legislators have very difficult decisions ahead of them. Unfortunately, the state's proposed budget will have significant consequences for CHKD. So we need your help! Please contact your state senators and representatives and ask them to protect CHKD and the thousands of children we serve each year from throughout the Commonwealth.

Please proceed with a suggested letter that explains the situation. It can be sent by email. And thank you so much for your support and advocacy for CHKD.

Open the letter.
Type CTRL+A to select the entire text, then CTRL+C to copy it.
Go to the Virginia General Assembly website and type in your address. You will see the two state representatives (one delegate and one senator) for your district.
Click on the button that lets you 'Send a message to your Delegate and Senator.'
Paste the letter into the message box (CTRL+V). Modify the opening paragraph to add your own personal experience with CHKD.
Press send.
