CHKD Health and Surgery Center at Princess Anne
In 2007, the hospital started construction on a CHKD Health and Surgery Center that will serve the growing medical needs of families in Virginia Beach. The 62,000 square
foot center, located in the Princess Anne medical complex area on Concert Drive, will be home to Virginia Beach’s first ambulatory surgery center exclusively for children.
CHKD’s signature pediatric surgery experience will be offered in specialties such as:
- orthopedics
- ophthalmology
- urology and
- ear, nose and throat surgery.

The new ORs will even be equipped for a variety of non-operative gastrointestinal, ophthalmic, plastic and laser procedures.
Beach families will also find primary care pediatricians and in-house radiology and lab services at the new center.
They’ll have convenient access to specialty care pediatricians for help with chronic problems such as asthma and diabetes. CHKD’s child abuse program will have services there. And children who need speech, physical, occupational or sports medicine therapy can get the ongoing care they require close to home too.
