Your Child's Visit

At Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters we know how stressful it can be when a child needs to be hospitalized. Our caring staff will do their best to make each family’s experience at CHKD as comfortable as possible.

What to Expect

Because we know that children are not small adults, we have highly trained pediatric specialists at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters. Our doctors and nurses and all the other professionals who provide emotional and therapeutic services know the special ways children need to be treated. Our staff never loses sight of who we are here for -- the children. That's why everybody at Children's Hospital is specially trained to care for children of all sizes, whether drawing blood for tests, preparing medications, taking X-rays, planning menus or performing any of the many services your child will receive while in our care.

Our goal is to provide the finest health care for our patients. To fulfill that goal, we put extra effort and resources into maintaining an exceptional facility, excellent pediatric doctors, a skillful and caring team of employees and the latest in technology. With the help of a generous and supportive community, we have been able to do that since 1961 when the hospital was first opened.
