Discovery Care Center
Discovery Care Center is a childcare facility operated by Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters. Enrollment is offered to all children regardless of race, religion, sex, handicap or national origin.

Our Center is open from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Accepted Age Groups
DCC offers care for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years, including before and after-school programs and special summer sessions for school-age children.
Classroom Organization
Children are placed in classrooms according to their age and developmental progress and our programs maintain compliance with state requirements for staff-to-child ratios.. Classrooms are organized as follows:

Staff Selection and Training
Our staff is selected on the basis of experience, rapport with children, educational background and continuing interest in professional development. Each classroom is headed by a lead teacher and is supported by teacher assistants. Lead teachers have specific training in early childhood development; some are also certified as child development associates, and others have associate's or bachelor's degrees.
